About the artist behind Christinap Art Studio.
Living in Melbourne, Australia, I was one of those kids who always had a pencil or pen in hand and loved drawing from an early age.
However, as time went on, the demands of life and the pressures of adulthood caused me to push art aside. It became a distant memory, tucked away amidst the responsibilities and obligations of everyday life. But deep down, the passion for art never truly faded away.
After a 20-year hiatus, I reawakened my passion for painting and embarked on a journey to reconnect with my inner artist. In doing so, it revealed that art serves as my anchor, enabling me to maintain a sense of balance amid a chaotic world.
Despite limited space, I have created a functional art studio that meets my needs. A simple desk, equipped with good lighting, serves as my creative workspace.
Reconnecting with my art is the best decision I ever made. It's been an incredibly fulfilling journey, helping me through the grief of losing a parent and keeping me grounded during the pandemic.
In 2024, I'm taking my art more seriously, starting ChristinapArt Studio is only the beginning.
Sustainability
Making art that's inspired by nature and its amazing animals makes me think about how I affect that world.
Sustainability, to me, means using local products and contemplating the mediums with care. To minimize harm to the environment, I opt for paint that doesn't produce toxic byproducts or contribute to the pollution of waterways and landfills.
Most of my work is on paper, so I take care to use quality products that share my concern for limiting the impact on the environment.
Obviously, this applies to the fixatives I use for my graphite, charcoal, and pastel works too - no warnings about needing a well-ventilated room for me.
The closest third party to the buyer handles my physical prints, saving on transportation costs and the environmental impact.
